Don't Waste your money

i'm a longtime samsung customer and usually have good experiences. this fridge is not a good experience. after owning the fridge for less than a year the entire icemaker had to be replaced. 3 months later the same issue was back. the ice maker in all these units is junk, there are even lawsuits with samsung over this. at this point, the ice maker doesn't work at all and freezes over weekly. when it does work you get a rush of water instead of ice when you do try to use it. it even leaks into the inside of the fridge sometimes. to make the situation worse, 3 years in the compressor is beginning to fail and is extremely loud anytime the fridge runs.

Design Flaw

i normally don't write reviews but after waiting 2 1/2 hours on the phone with samsung i thought i would share my experience. i bought this unit back in jan 2019, was delivered a month later and roughly 7 months after that the ice machine started freezing. i thawed it out and for the next 8 months or so i am de-thawing it every 2 weeks on average. i finally call to have a service rep come out and it is out of warranty. so now i have a fridge that is worth less then the one it replaced (its ice maker still works and its over 10 years old). in a nutshell my business can go elsewhere from now on. this is a known error and many people have this problem, in other words a fatal design flaw that they keep shipping to customers.

sadly the ice maker is garbage and makes the fridge a bad purchase. the entire unit is blocked up with frost and one chunk of ice. this is an issue for almost everyone with this fridge.

I bought this fridge in 2015 and was wonderful UNTIL the piece of junk of an ice maker started freezing up. Now it freezes up and I have to defrost it often. Also the outside dispenser leaks water that is coming from the ice maker. I think I would NEVER buy another fridge that has the icemaker within the refrigerator.....it should be in the freezer......I may never buy another Samsung again!!!

The fridge constantly freezes over in the ice maker and will not produce ice. The back of the fridge needs constant de-icing about once a month. Will NOT produce the advertised amount of ice, no where near 10lbs a day!

Ice maker is a disaster - stay away

After 9 months the ice maker started to have issues where there would be no ice. I had to take the bin out, clean out lots of frost, unstick the jammed ice cubes on multiple occasions. I complained to Samsung about the issues at 13 months and they said it was out of warranty, will not help by sending a repairman out to look at fridge but only sent me links for basic troubleshooting. They did not work. I followed advice on YouTube for some issues and only marginally better. Stay away from this fridge.

Bad Installation

On 10/2/18 I had this refrigerator delivered after ordering it on 9/5/18. The refrigerator Water and Ice does not work, The refrigerator is set to 38, but the actual temp is 58, and the lights in the refrig are not working. Very disappointing when I waited for a month to receive this refrigerator. Obviously, there is an installation problem and it will take three more days to have someone come out to do an "installation check". Shouldn't that have been done when delivered?

Worst Refrigerator and Worst Customer Service

My refrigerator stopped working after less than three years; it was deemed unrepairable by the Samsung technician due to a manufacturer defect. I was promised a replacement at first, and ultimately a refund. However, they did not honor their offer. They withheld pertinent information that was needed for the refund. Customer service reps and the girl from the CEO's office were all very rude and argumentative. I will never buy another Samsung product again. We have started replacing all our old Samsung products with alternate and better brands.

We absolutely LOVE this refrigerator!!! After years of owning a side-by-side which was so difficult for us to find anything without moving every item in front, we selected this wonderful addition to our kitchen! Not only does it look beautiful, it performs above and beyond our expectations. We are able to organize each section so that we can find exactly what we need in a moment and the dual temperature controls are excellent. We noticed that our produce lasts much longer than previously.

Poor design

I have had this refrigerator for about10 months. I love the freezer and the middle drawer. I Refrigerator part is very poorly designed. There is only 1 shelf on door that will handle quarts and half gallons on the right side. Only the left side the door shelfs are useless because the won't hold anything worthwhile because of the icemaker. Very poor design.

Faulty and constantly broken

Faulty and constantly broken This fridge has broken 5 times since we bought in at the end of 2015. The twin cooling feature is absolutely terrible. Constantly malfunctioning and requiring maintenance. No new features or additional parts has been a successful remedy. I'm waiting for best buy to determine it's a wasted case so I can my money back and never buy another Samsung product again. I wish I could rate this lower. So angry about the waste of time money and food. Don't buy this product.

Between us and some good friends we have three Samsung French Door refrigerators and not a single one can make ice. Of course Samsung says two are out of warranty since they are just over 2 years old. I'll never buy another Samsung appliance and I don't recommend anyone else buy one either.

Samsung French doors refrigerator

This is by far a beautiful looking refrigerator. Upon arrival it looked like Christmas morning but, after a few months the unit failed. The ice maker stop working and then the refrigerator wouldn't get cold, the fan started making this loud noise and as a result a lots of ours food had to be thrown out because it had spoiled. I'm really disappointed with this Samsung refrigerators. I will never buy another one again.

Owned less than 2 yrs ice maker doesn't work

Ice maker quit working after we changed the filter for first time (about 6 months). Followed directions and within 3 wks ice built up so bad maker stopped working now every other week I9 have to defrost and chip away the ice in the back. Expensive fridge to have stopped working. Will never buy another Samsung product.
