we purchased this unit 5 years ago and have had numerous service calls to repair the ice maker and computer. the unit keeps freezing up. we replaced the computer a few months ago and its freezing up again. the costs for the replacement parts and services calls is in the hundreds of dollars now we're told there are no computer replacement parts available. the only reason i gave it a one star is because there was no lower rating.

don't expect the ice maker to work beyond six months. i should have taken the other reviews seriously - i thought people were just being petty. the issues with the ice maker are true. you will constantly be manually defrosting the ice maker or paying for repairs.
it id a shame because outside of this major issue the refrigerator overall is decent.

i want to like this unit but corners were cut everywhere.
ill start with the sheves in the door. if anything more than 2lbs is put on them, they will break. mine are now made of about 50% superglue. i think replacements are $70 from samsung.
the icemaker doesnt seem to self defrost, so it constantly clogs, causing the ice to backup and go empty pretty much every 3 weeks. the only positive thing is that it looks ok.

i've had the fridge for 2 years and have had no issues. only recommendation would be a smaller ice maker. i love the versitility of the shelves snd the drawer. very happy with the performance!

there seems to be a lot of hate with the sounds of this refrigerator. to me, the sound is normal and not that loud, even in an open concept kitchen/living room setup. i don't use the ice maker, so i can't really speak for that, but i drink the filtered water from it every day. overall it's a great value for the size, price, and features. it also looks very high end. i have had it for over a year without any issues.

while the overall frig is ok i have spent well over $500.00 trying to get the ice maker to function properly. new ice maker twice and no a new auger. very disappointing when you spend the $$$ on a unit and have so many issues. let's see how samsung addresses my issue yet again.

having the same issue everyone else seems to be having: ice maker continually freezes up, frosts over, and must be manually defrosted. i have to remove the ice tray and chip away at the clogged up ice maker with an ice pick every week or so. super annoying. would not buy again.

less than 3 years after purchase ice was forming inside the dairy products and vegetable drawers. contacted customer services and they were great extended my warranty to cover all parts and labor. i would not but that model number again but would definitely buy samsung again excellent customer services. i will update my review once the repairs have been completed.

i've had this refrigerator for 4.5 years now...here are some of the issues i have:
1 - the refrigerator stainless steel is very soft, when it was delivered, there was already a slight dent on bottom of the door that i completely missed.
2 - the ice machine is really pathetic. barely makes ice consistently.
3 - the refrigerator temperature is so inconsistent. when it is fully stock, it fails to provide even temperatures. we've had to empty out the unit many times to try to rebalance / adjust temps properly.
finally this item looks great but performs poorly.

the ice maker has been serviced or repaired 4-5 times in the 3 years we have owned it. it used to freeze up and no ice. then there was a recall and the part finally fix it. now it leaks inside the fridge and each time you get ice. so furious with it!

really enjoy the 3 french door design, the freezer at the bottom makes it easy for my kids to grab things themselves. the only negative thing i have to say and nothing against the product is black stainless steel, i was unaware it's just paint so i don't care for the maintenance that this color needs. but overall great product

we have had this fridge about a year. everything works great onit. my husband uses the ice maker daily with no problems thus far. what i dont care for is the shelves and how you cant put larger items in without lying them down. (ie large bottle juice). other than that its a nice unit

i bought my french door fridge in 2016. it lasted 1.5 years before the problems started.
the ice maker freezes up. samsung was nice enough to have it repaired 6 months past warrant, but that didn't fix the issue. 3 times a year i have to defrost my fridge. what a pain in the rear-end. i finally got fed up after watching a tv news show and i called to say i want a refund. they were all nice at first then i never heard back from them.
on top of all this, within a year, my samsung clothes washer, dish washer, and tv all took a crap and needed to be repaired. boy do i feel like a fool right now. on the bright side, i heard their phones are great.
bottom-line, don't buy this fridge or any other samsung appliance. if you must, but the biggest warranty you can because you will need it.

we've had this 2 years. i was hoping to have it for many years and i can't wait to get rid of it!!! where do i begin? first the ice maker is the terrible. besides the fact that the ice comes out super slow, it freezes up every other day and doesn't produce ice. second, the water that comes out of the dispenser? is hard water and there's build up on the tray - ooh! and the paint is coming off of it. third? good luck cleaning the gook that gets caught on the glass shelves. fourth, better luck cleaning that open piece in the vegetable trays. fifth, every little mark shows on the exterior. sixth, the humidity control wording is already rubbing off and the interior is cracked! all within a couple of years. great buy - not!!!

the refrigerator has been fine but the ice maker is horrible. it seems to melt a bit of the ice and then freeze again under the bin. the whole unit then becomes frozen solid and stops working. we have had it repaired sever times and spent over $400 trying to get it fixed and it's broken again. stay away from this particular model.

i purchased the entire suite of samsung matching appliances for my kitchen (around $4500) in 2016. the refrigerator has made loud knocking noises since purchased, which samsung told me it was normal. 4 years later, the refrigerator started freezing up in the back panel where the coils/fan are located and the ice maker. it has to thaw for around 48 hours before the back panel can even be removed, thus you lose all your food. i lost $300 in food last week. forced defrost does nothing. the photo i'm adding is after 48 hours of it being off and still lots of ice formed on it. the video is the sound you hear when the fan can't run due to how bad it's frozen up behind the panel. this is a defect in the design and not a warranty issue if you google this. i can't keep losing my food :(
