Waste of money

as mentioned from my review on the samsung washer , we bought the washer and dryer thinking it would last for at least 5 years, its only been 3 years and since last year the washer started to get rusty and moldy. i thought samsung is a great brand as well as reliability wise but in reality its not, plain waste of money. i will never recommend and will never ever buy this brand again. the samsung dryer that was bought along with the washer just suddenly stopped working clothes were still wet and it wont turn on anymore. i had to buy a brand new and better dryer than samsung. never again!!! very poor performance!

Cracked drum

Disappointed 4/17/2021

we have had this dryer 19 months and the drum has cracked. a quick search online and you find out this is a common problem with samsung dryers. looking at the cracked you can see the metal used is paper thin and the rollers have cheap bushings. do not buy this dryer.

Worked fine at first, but then..

we purchased this dryer about a year ago to replace an old dryer. we enjoyed the features of the dryer, but now after a year and, of course, outside of the warranty period, none of the button features work. we are now unable to change any of the drying times and the temperature settings. i am going to call for service eventually, but i already know that this will be a costly repair and will more than likely just replace it with a non-samsung item. i have used samsung products for years but now i think it's time to try other brands.

Heating elements continiously fail

i've had this unit about 4 years and it never had thoroughly dried clothes in one cycle. multiple repairs that are temporary fixes and then it goes back to never fully drying. i keep the vents very clean and that doesn't even seem to help. samsung - you let us down on this one.

function is a pure let down. the tub on the washer is too deep for anyone under 6 ft. the cycles are long. the clothes dont really wash without getting tangled and wrinkled. dryer...dont hold your breathe. my old lg front load would dry loads in 30 mins. this thing takes 3 hours. if you're into doing laundry all day with beautiful but flawed and slow machines. these are for you.

i have owned this dryer for about 3 years. this dryer has needed the drum replaced due to cracking and falling apart. it has also needed the heating element replaced.

I bought this Electric Dryer along with a matching top load washer to replace 15 year old ones. It's not easy replacing products that have never failed you but buying newer more efficient more cost effective is sometimes a great idea and in this case I truly made a good decision and do not regret buying this Dryer nor it's matching top load Washer was the best decision I have made. The heating element went out first, then within 3 years, the entire dryer is done. Not good quality and won't last. Seemed like a very cool set but ultimately I've heard nothing positive from friends in the same boat. I would NOT recommend this set and it makes me leery of any Samsung washer/dryer products.

This dyer is great.

I purchased this dryer back in June of 2018 and I am very pleased with it. It handles larger loads of clothes very well and they all come out dry. I also like the steam feature of this dryer. It is perfect for dress shirts and other clothing that might needs some wrinkles knocked out of it quick. The energy consumption isn't too bad. In fact it seems to be considerably more efficient than our previous dryer. All in all a great dryer. If there were one con it would be that especially for what some might call a normal load of clothes you do have to crank it up to get them dry. It did take some getting used to as far as settings to make sure the clothes did come out dry. But we have found or "usual" setting and you can program that into the dryer.

Really Regret Purchase!

In the store i loved this dryer and everything it sold me on..... At home it has big usability issues. 1 the worktop is curved. That is bad for two reasons. Anything put on top slides off. When putting full baskets on top it dents the highest part of the curve. I called samsung about how easily dented the top got and i was told that i only had 48 hours to complain and that now I'm stuck The dryer tangles clothes badly leaving wrinkles and wet spots i have to run the drying cycle multiple times to fully dry a load the steam function just sprays water into the dryer increasing time but not actually making steam or helping in any way. Samsung customer service has been very disappointing to work with. i can't wait to get rid of the samsung set and buy something that really works. Buyer beware. this product will disappoint.
