CRACKED DRUM DO NOT BUY

we bought the matching set in 2018. since then the dryer has not been great in any sense. takes a while to dry, sense feature will always stop the dryer with the clothes still wet regardless of setting, and now our drum cracked! i don't know how you make a dryer that only lasts 3 years... very underwhelming performance. the quality will make me over look samsung appliances in the future.

i have this washer and dryer. the only problem i have with the dryer is that it gets too hot for the filter and the filter started losing its form and not fitting in place, allowing lint to get into the unit which concerns me. i have to purchase a new filter but don't know where to go. help

this is the second dryer of this exact model i've owned. both stopped working right after the warranty went out. both turned on but wouldn't spin and instead made a buzzing sound. i should have taken the hint the first time but thought it was just a bum unit. never will buy a samsung again.

it's infuriating owning a sensor dryer & not be able to choose a dryness/temp level. bad programming prevents the selection. this is the whole point to having a sensor dryer... and it doesn't do it.

Drum cracked in a month

We ended up receiving a floor model from a Lowes store. The only reason we did was because they screwed our order up and all they had was a floor model. So we took it and it worked well... for a month. Tonight I noticed there is a huge crack/bulge in the drum of the dryer. Went to Samsungs website, and the warranty expired almost a year ago, because it was a floor model. Absolutely terrible. People warned against Samsung, but I did it anyway. Guess I've learned my lesson for good.

Fast drying lots of features

Bought new from lowes so far we have been impressed at how fast the clothes dry we use the sensor drying feature on more dry works perfect for mixed loads like towels , tee shirts . it drys clothes about 20 min sooner with a full load over our old dryer . We recommend this dryer.

Dryer doesn't work on arrival

The dryer turns on but does not operate. Now a service advisor needs to come out and open it up to look at. Also, the top of the dryer is not secured to the sides. It opens up easly and I can already tell there will be vibration issues. This sucks!

This is a review of model DV52J8700EP/A2. First of all, I purchased the washer paired with this dryer and it is already in the trash. After about 6 months, this dryer started getting very loud and making a slipping, cranking sound when first starting. I purchase the extended warranty, thankfully from Samsung. When I went to obtain warranty repair no one could ever get their act together. Between Samsung, their warranty company and the service company, it took me about 1.5 weeks to have someone come out and service this dryer UNDER WARRANTY. Eventually it got serviced and it had a bad motor. It has been fixed. Unfortunately, a dryer less than 2 years old should have lasted longer than this. The features are great and the dryer and features are excellent, but, I can't see buying another one if it has major issues with less than 2 years of use. My recommendation with any company today, buy on sale (NEVER PAY FULL PRICE) and augment your purchase with an extended warranty, as you WILL need it.

Slowest dryer ever

I have had this dryer for almost a year now and wish I never bought it. It drys slower than the 10 year old dryer it replaced. The dry sensors are horrible and stop the machine saying the clothes are dry but they are still damp. The lint trap is made out of cheap plastic and has a little plastic cover on it that broke at the hinge three months into ownership. Last samsung appliance I will ever buy.

Bought this dryer because I love samsung products. They last a long time, have great features and can really stand up to the test. The only feature on this product that is poor is the "eco" setting. Its take twice as long to dry a load and thick parts of clothing like jeans are still wet. I always turn it off (can't set it to off). Otherwise the dryer works perfect.

Broken in less than 12 months - Poor warranty service - Steam Features useless

Unit broke in less than 12 months with moderate use (3 adult household). Samsung warranty repair very difficult to work with. When the unit was working, the steam cycles were useless. Soaks the clothes, doesn't remove wrinkles, leaves wet spots on each article of clothing.
